Splash and Dash

Start time for the splash and dash is 11:45am.

Suggested age: 4-12

SWIM
25 meter swim
Floaties and life jackets are welcome!
Climb or jump in at the end of the dock and swim back to shore!

BIKE
No Bike

RUN
250 meter run
Run from the water, through transition and straight to the finish line.

Start Time

We will be adding map images and transition lay out as we get the design done. Check back closer to the race for the kids transition area and beyond. In the mean time, if you have questions, please don't hesitate to contact us!

Transition Area

We highly encourage parents to walk through the process of setting up a transition prior to race morning. We will allow one parent access to the transition area before and after, but not during the race. Parents will need to get body marking on their hand to match their child's bib number. We have assigned the youth tri area of transition along the fence so parents can cheer and "help" from the outside of transition.

Parents of Splash and Dash racers are welcome to accompany the Splash and Dash Athletes from start to finish, including the dash through transition.

Kids Tri

Start time for the kids tri is 11:30am.

Suggested age: 7-17, younger allowed at parents discretion

SWIM
200m swim
This is an out and back swim along the shore, but not too close as there are weeds where the kids can touch. We have several lifeguards and spotters on paddle boards and in kayaks. We also have swim angels. Swim angels swim with a pool noodle along side our swimmers who need a little extra support to feel at ease. We encourage parents of kids who are a little more nervous in the water to sign up to be a swim angel volunteer for the kids race. The more help the better!

BIKE
4mile bike
This is also an out and back course. Once on course, there are no turns, just the turn around.  There is 133ft of elevation change. It is a gradual down hill on the way out and gradual uphill on the way back. The steepest grade is 2%, the average grade is about 1%. The bike course is on a closed road.

RUN
2k run
Again, we have an out and back course on closed roads. This run is flat along the lake. Once on course, there are no turns, just the turn around. The course overlaps with the adult run course so the kids will have extra encouragement from other racers out there!
